In Pennsylvania, 956,000 residents risk losing health coverage by 2019 if the Affordable Care Act is repealed. That’s why, this week, while President Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans met in Philadelphia to discuss how to repeal the Affordable Care Act, Pennsylvanians came together to fight back and protect health care.
On Wednesday, folks gathered on Cherry Street to hear from folks like Tyheera, a caregiver in Philadelphia. Tyherra and her family rely on the Affordable Care Act, saying:
“In the past, I didn’t have health insurance or access to medication. It has ended up putting me being in the hospital. I’ve been on the Affordable Care Act for four years. Having access to medicine has saved my life. I don’t know how I would take care of my kids without it.”

On Thursday, the Save My Care bus joined thousands of Pennsylvanians who came together for #ResistanceInPhilly at Thomas Paine Plaza.
Throughout the event, we heard from organizers, faith leaders, nurses, and other advocates. Their message at the rally was clear: #SaveMyCare.
