Rallying for Health Care on President’s Day

By Feb 20, 2017 February 22nd, 2017 No Comments

1 in 10 people in Georgia will lose their health care if Republicans repeal the Affordable Care Act —and Georgians are ready to fight back to #SaveMyCare.

The Save My Care bus spent President’s Day in Liberty Square in Atlanta, Georgia, surrounded by celebrities, local lawmakers, health care advocates, and impacted families, all calling on members of Congress to save the ACA.

We heard from Georgia House Minority Leader, Stacey Abrams, who spoke about how a repeal of the ACA would impact both her constituents and her family.

Actor Blake Cooper Griffin also joined us and spoke to our Atlanta crowd about the importance of Georgians making their voices heard to show their members of Congress how a repeal of the ACA would directly impact them:

“I’m here today because 30 million people are about to lose their health care. Their lifeline. 1 in every 10 people in GA will lose their health care unless we-you and me-do something about it & make our voices heard. We’ve been making our voices heard for the last 4 weeks & we can’t stop now.” – Blake Cooper Griffin
