Patients, doctors, lawyers, faith leaders, and union members came out on Thursday afternoon to welcome the Save My Care bus to Miami.
Scott Darius from Florida Consumer Health Alliance kicked off our event, explaining what’s at stake for the 2.2 million Floridians that benefit from the Affordable Care Act.
"There's a lot of stake from a lot of people—and today you'll hear from folks about what repeal will mean for Floridians."—Scott, @FLCHAIN pic.twitter.com/3vytsLGcpg

After, we heard from folks across the city who are impacted by the Affordable Care Act every single day.
“It’s difficult for me to come up with a single personal story because the reality is, I see the Affordable Care Act benefiting my patients every day. As a resident physician here in Miami, I’m concerned that if the ACA is repealed, these patients will be left without care—without follow-up and the ability to get the treatment that they need.”
Miamians know that there’s too much at stake—and they’re taking action to protect their health care.
Thanks for hosting us in Miami, @SEIUFL! See you in Tampa and Orlando tomorrow. #SaveMyCare pic.twitter.com/yg4LHfrvtr
