Trump’s Latest Health Care Sabotage

By Sep 1, 2017 No Comments

On Thursday, the Trump administration announced their latest plan to sabotage your health care. This time, they’re slashing crucial advertising and educational funding that provides enrollment information for millions of Americans.

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) stated it was reducing this budget by 90% from $100 million during the Obama administration to just $10 million for the 2018 open enrollment period.

These aren’t the only budget cuts the Trump administration has made that will impact ACA and your health care, either. Funding for “navigators,” individuals who help consumers, small businesses, and their employees find health coverage options, was also cut from $62.5 million to $36 million for 2018.

Since the Trump administration didn’t get its way with health care repeal, they’re going to make it as hard as possible for people to learn about health care options, and to enroll. That’s just cruel. Now it’s up to Republicans in Congress to determine if they’ll stop the administration from working to fulfill their promise to let the ACA “implode.”

Stand up to the Trump administration and fight for our health care. Share this post with your family and friends.
